![]() On June 28, 2008, ENCOMPASS will hold a benefit performance at the Performing Arts Center of Baldwin Park. The funds raised by the performance will support programs that spark compassion, personal responsibility and an appreciation of differences among California teenagers. We are looking for young artists to share their talent at the event. If you fit that description, we'd love to learn more about you and tell you about PROJECT SPOTLIGHT. Prior to the performance, all artists will participate in a series of fun, informal discussion and rehearsal sessions! Artists will partake in activities and discussions that explore stereotypes, prejudice and personal responsibility, giving them a deeper understanding of ENCOMPASS' work. Working closely with a staff of professional performing artists and trained facilitators, PROJECT SPOTLIGHT participants will talk openly about their experiences as young artists, develop strong connections with other teen artists and learn how they can be of service to the community and the world. Participants will receive free Metro passes. Food and drinks will be provided. Contact us: Skyler Jackson - skylerjackson@encompass.org or 626-358-3442 for additional information.
